FAQ

Is my image uploaded?

No. Cropping happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device — verifiable in DevTools → Network.

Why are the output dimensions exact, not just an aspect ratio?

Each platform actually has a recommended pixel size, not just a ratio. Instagram squares get the best fidelity at 1080×1080; an OG image needs 1200×630. We crop to the ratio and resize to the platform's recommended resolution in one pass.

What if my image is smaller than the target size?

We still crop to the right ratio, then upscale to the target dimensions. Quality depends on how much you're upscaling — going from 800×800 to 1080×1080 looks fine; going from 200×200 to 1080×1080 will look blurry.

Can I drag the crop area?

Yes — drag inside the crop box to reframe, scroll/pinch to zoom. The aspect ratio stays locked to whatever preset you picked.

Output format?

JPG at 92% quality (visually lossless for photos). For images that need transparency or sharp edges, use the standalone Image Cropper which supports PNG output.

Does it support batch cropping?

Not yet — one image at a time. For repetitive social-media exports, this is usually fine since you're picking the crop manually anyway.
