Crop online, in your browser

Pick an aspect ratio, drag the crop region, optionally rotate or zoom, then export as JPG or PNG. The crop runs entirely on your device using the HTML Canvas API — your photo never leaves your browser. No upload, no signup, no per-day limit.

Common uses: square crops for Instagram posts, 9:16 for stories and reels, 16:9 for thumbnails, 4:3 or 3:2 for photo prints, 2:3 or 3:4 for portrait posters and book covers. Free-form for everything else.

Frequently asked questions

Can I crop to a custom aspect ratio?

Yes — pick "Free" to drag any rectangle, or use one of the 7 presets (1:1 square, 4:3 standard, 3:2 photo, 16:9 widescreen, 9:16 story, 2:3 portrait, 3:4 vertical). The cropped output keeps the original image's pixel density, so a 4000×3000 source cropped to 1:1 produces a 3000×3000 square at full resolution.

Does it preserve quality?

Yes. Cropped images are encoded as JPG at 95% quality (visually lossless for most photos), or PNG for true pixel-perfect output. Choose PNG when cropping a screenshot or any image with text / hard edges.

Is the photo uploaded?

No — runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Verifiable in DevTools → Network: zero requests during cropping.

What's the maximum image size?

Browser memory permitting, single images up to ~50 MP load and crop smoothly. Above 100 MP, performance degrades on phones; on desktop, even larger images work fine.

Can I rotate before cropping?

Yes — drag the rotation slider. Rotation is applied before the crop, so rotating an image then cropping it produces a clean perpendicular result without dead corners.

Is there a watermark or signup?

No. Free, no signup, no watermark, no per-day limit.
